Early Poll Shows Favorable Results for Bishop
In a poll taken earlier this year, former Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop shows a slight lead over incumbent Prosecutor Jessica Cooper. The results came from a sample of 600 Oakland County registered voter had Mike Bishop beating Jessica Cooper by a 28.3% to 26.7% margin, with 34.7% undecided. The results also show that 4% of likley voters also lean toward Bishop.This poll is proof that Bishop's name identification and favorability is high among Oakland County voters. These numbers also indicate that over one third of the electorate is undecided about who they favor in the race for Oakland County Prosecutor. The same poll shows that over 64% of Oakland County voters approve of L. Brooks Patterson's performance as County Executive.
Favorable numbers for Patterson are a good sign for Mike Bishop's campaign, as Patterson has strongly endorsed Bishop's candidacy for County Prosecutor.
